What is PDO absorbable suture?
It’s a synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of polydioxanone. PDO sutures are used to perform cardiothoracic surgery (such as open-heart surgery). It’s one of the safest materials to be implanted in the body.
Your skin fully absorbs it within 4 to 6 months & won’t leave you with any scar tissue.
Restoring the V-Shape
A beautiful and healthy face has a “V-Shape”. Although, due to the aging of tissues and the action of gravity, the “V-Shape” tends to diminish or inverts. The design behind the Nu-Mesh and Nu-Lyft PDO Threads technique is to create a scaffolding in order to support the tissues and keep them in the “V-Shape”. Also, this technique where necessary, will help to delicately lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the “V-Shape” where it’s been lost.
Q: Can you see or feel the threads after a Thread Lift?
A: PDO Thread Lift is a non-invasive lunchtime procedure which has a natural painless result. You cannot see the threads after receiving them, although the thickness of your skin will determine a lot. After receiving the PDO thread treatment you may be able to slightly feel the threads due to the tightening that is increased in loose areas. The threads are a great zero downtime procedure which compliments botox and fillers.
Q: Filler Vs PDO Thread Lift?
A: Both Fillers and PDO Thread Lift compliment each other. The filler helps to bring up the nasolabial fold and fill in any hollow spaces. Whereas, the PDO Thread Lift does an amazing job in the “Jowl” area by pulling up any lines that fillers are not able to get to.
Q: Is there any downtime?
A: Depending on how many threads were used and the area treated there will be swelling, with the worst in 2-3 days time, which settles by the end of the week.
Q: Is a thread lift painful?
A: PDO Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that has controlled healing benefits. Patients who have undergone a thread lift can attest that the procedure is not painful at all. You may experience minimal bruising or no bruising at all.
